Travis Alexander’s sisters sobbed in the
background as Maricopa County Superior Court Judge, Sherry K. Stephens,
made the announcement this morning that the judge could not reach a unanimous decision
on whether or not to sentence convicted killer, Jodi Arias, to death. Judge
Stephens stated that the jurors repeatedly indicated they could not reach
consensus (hung jury). This verdict comes
after the second jury considered her case because the first jury, which
convicted her of murder two years ago, could not agree on whether or not to
sentence her to death.
